JBMOnboard360 / Resources / Staff attendance and leave
HR for clinic and salon teams
Staff attendance and leave in the same app as your appointments.
A clinic or salon with eight to forty staff rarely needs a full HR suite. It needs to know who is in today, who has asked for leave next week, and to give everyone a salary slip each month. JBMOnboard360 does those things inside the system your team already uses for clients and bookings.
Why keep HR here
The case for HR inside your clinic software (and against)
Dedicated HR and payroll tools such as greytHR, Keka and Zoho People are good products. They calculate payroll, handle statutory filings, manage leave balances and policies, and have employee mobile apps. If you have a separate HR person, 50 or more staff, or payroll that changes every month with incentives and overtime, use one of them.
For smaller clinics, salons and spas, a separate HR tool has a cost that isn't just the subscription:
- Staff have to use another app to check in, so they don't.
- The person approving leave can't see the appointment book while doing it, so a therapist goes on leave on the busiest Saturday of the month.
- Staff lists exist twice, and drift apart when someone joins or leaves.
Keeping attendance and leave next to the appointment book fixes those three problems. That's the job this part of JBMOnboard360 does.
What's included
HR features, as they exist today
Daily check-in and check-out
Staff tap Check In when they arrive and Check Out when they leave. Managers see the day's attendance and a month calendar, and can go back to earlier months.
Attendance export
Export attendance records for the month to share with your accountant or payroll provider.
Leave requests
Annual, sick, personal, maternity, paternity, unpaid and other leave, with dates and a reason. Admins approve or reject. Staff can withdraw a pending request.
Salary slip records
Record a monthly slip with basic, HRA, conveyance, medical and special allowances, and PF, ESI, professional tax, TDS and other deductions, then print it for the employee.
Performance reviews
Record a review for a period with an overall rating and goals, so feedback isn't just a conversation nobody wrote down.
Roles and permissions
Admin, manager, practitioner, receptionist and viewer roles, plus page-level permissions, so salary records stay with the people who should see them.
Be clear about the limits

Getting it right
A simple leave and attendance policy for a small clinic or salon
Software only helps if the rules are clear. For a team of ten to thirty, a one-page policy usually covers it:
- Check-in is the record. If it isn't in the app, it didn't happen. Managers correct missed check-ins the same day.
- Leave goes in before it's discussed. A request in the system with dates, not a WhatsApp message to the manager.
- Peak days need notice. Set how far in advance leave on Saturdays, festival weeks and wedding season must be requested.
- Approve against the book. Before approving, check the appointments for those dates and who can cover.
- Slips every month, on the same date. Even if the amount doesn't change, give the slip. Staff need them for loans and rentals.
Check your state's Shops and Establishments Act for leave entitlements and working-hour rules for your type of business; they vary by state and change from time to time.
Price
Attendance, leave, salary slip records and reviews are part of JBMOnboard360, not an add-on. Pro is ₹1,999 per user per month billed annually plus 18% GST, or ₹2,499 monthly. Staff who use check-in or leave requests need their own login, which counts as a user. Start with a 7-day free trial.
