Physiotherapy clinics in India
Physiotherapy clinic software that keeps patients coming back for session six.
Most physio plans fail in the middle, not at the start. JBMOnboard360 runs the business side of a physiotherapy clinic: session packages that count down per visit, a follow-up cadence on every patient, WhatsApp reminders, GST-ready bills, and one login for every branch you run. It is not an exercise-prescription app, and we'll say so below.
The real problem
Why physiotherapy clinics lose revenue between sessions
A typical physiotherapy plan for a frozen shoulder, a post-operative knee or chronic low back pain runs over several weeks. The assessment is booked eagerly. Sessions two and three usually happen. By session five or six, patients feel a little better, get busy, and quietly stop coming. The clinic loses the revenue, and the patient often loses the outcome the plan was designed for.
Paper registers and a phone full of WhatsApp chats make this hard to see. Nobody can answer simple questions quickly: which patients have sessions left in their package, who missed their last appointment, and who has not been called back. Physiotherapy clinic software should answer those questions every morning without anyone building a spreadsheet.
That is the job JBMOnboard360 is built for. It sits at the front desk and in the owner's dashboard, not in the treatment cubicle.
What JBMOnboard360 does for a physio clinic
- Session packages. Sell a 6, 10 or 12-session package. Each visit redeems one session, the balance is visible on the patient record, and packages can carry an expiry date so balances don't sit open forever.
- Follow-up cadence. When you book a session you can set it to repeat every N days, so the next visit is suggested instead of forgotten.
- Reminders on WhatsApp and email. Automations send a reminder before each appointment and a message after it. There is no SMS, which matters less in India where most patients already use WhatsApp.
- Patient records and case sheets. Each patient has visit history, documents, forms and session records. General case-sheet templates (assessment-style wellness, lifestyle, body composition and follow-up sheets) are available for healthcare clinics.
- Room and table lanes. The day view shows each treatment room or table as a lane, flags clashes when two patients are booked on the same table, and lets the front desk drag an appointment to a new slot.
- Online booking requests. A public booking page lets new patients pick a slot. Requests land in a list your front desk approves, which suits clinics that want to check the complaint before confirming.
- GST-ready bills. Invoices carry your GSTIN, SAC codes and place of supply when you are registered. See the note on GST below.
- Multi-branch. Clinics with two or more centres see each branch separately and together.

A week in the clinic
How a physiotherapy clinic runs on it
- Enquiry. A patient messages your WhatsApp Business number at 10 pm asking about knee pain and timings. The AI bot answers from the knowledge base you wrote (timings, assessment fee, location, what to bring) and saves the enquiry as a lead.
- Assessment. The front desk calls back, books the assessment and sends an intake form link or QR code. History and consent come in before the patient arrives.
- Plan and package. After the assessment the physio recommends a 10-session plan. The front desk sells the package and books the next session with a "repeat every 2 days" cadence.
- Reminders. The patient gets a WhatsApp reminder before each session. Each visit redeems one session from the package.
- Drop-off check. The owner checks who has sessions left but no upcoming appointment, and the front desk calls them.
None of this needs a clinical system to change. It needs the front desk to see, every day, who is due and who is drifting away.
GST for physiotherapy clinics
Health care services by a clinical establishment, an authorised medical practitioner or para-medics are exempt from GST under Notification 12/2017-Central Tax (Rate). Physiotherapy is usually treated as exempt health care, so many clinics issue a bill of supply rather than a tax invoice. Products such as braces or supports, and wellness services that are not health care, can be taxable. Our GST billing guide for clinics explains the bill of supply and tax invoice split. Confirm your own position with your chartered accountant.
Pricing
The Pro plan is ₹1,999 per user per month billed annually, plus 18% GST, or ₹2,499 per user per month billed monthly. A clinic with a front-desk user and two physiotherapists who log in would pay for three users. There is a 7-day free trial with full access and no card. Questions
Physiotherapy clinic software questions
Does JBMOnboard360 include a home exercise programme library?
No. It has no exercise video library or HEP builder. Most clinics keep a dedicated exercise app for that and use JBMOnboard360 for bookings, packages, reminders, billing and follow-up.
Can I sell session packages and track the balance?
Yes. Packages redeem one session per visit, show the remaining balance on the patient record and can have an expiry date. Prepaid cards are also available if you prefer a wallet balance.
Is it an EMR or ABDM-integrated?
No. JBMOnboard360 is not an EMR and is not integrated with ABDM or ABHA. It keeps patient records, case sheets and documents for practice management. If you need ABDM linking, use an integrated EMR alongside it.
Does it send SMS reminders?
No. Reminders go by WhatsApp and email through automations. Most patients in India already use WhatsApp, which is why we built it that way.
Where is patient data stored?
On AWS in Mumbai (ap-south-1), through Supabase. Access is controlled by roles, and multi-factor authentication is available for staff logins.
Is physiotherapy exempt from GST?
Health care services by clinical establishments, authorised medical practitioners and para-medics are exempt under Notification 12/2017-CT(R), and physiotherapy is usually treated that way. Products and non-health-care services can be taxable. Check with your chartered accountant.
